Internal Conditioning for Martial Artists

Mobility, balance, recovery and breathwork for serious martial artists. Learn fundamental skills from a fellow martial artist, drawing knowledge from yoga and tai chi, to increase your power, range of motion and endurance, and to reduce your recovery time.

Expected Outcome

  • Recover faster between rounds and training sessions

  • Move through full range of motion without joint irritation

  • Maintain balance and focus while under pressure or fatigued

  • Use the breath to focus, stabilize and recenter

  • Train consistently without accumulating wear and tear to your body

This is for you if

  • You train 3-5 days per week

  • You experience chronic tightness or pain

  • You feel stiff, unbalanced, unfocused or breathless under pressure

Whether you’re a striker, grappler, kicker or traditionalist- you will benefit from this course.

Coach Ash

I’m Ash, a 500 hour certified experienced yoga teacher, a hapkido black belt, and dedicated tai chi practitioner.

I have over a decade of experience in yoga and tai chi, and have been training martial arts for over 6 years. In my time as a practitioner I have torn my meniscus, separated my sternoclavicular joint and experienced all the other aches and pains that come with pushing your body to its limits. I decided that enough was enough.

I was tired of having so much recovery time whenever I got injured. I wanted to be out on the mat practicing. And I saw the same problems in my peers and my clients- especially those who started doing martial arts and other movement practices because they had chronic injuries that made movement less accessible. So I made my own method of recovery and training inspired by what I learned from yoga and tai chi.

By making recovery a part of my martial arts training, I avoid injuries significantly more than I did before, and the recovery time between injuries is substantially less.
